La festa del vi novell comptarà amb la visita de tres cellers de Mallorca

Els cellers de Mallorca que participaran a la festa del vi novell català i donaran a tastar els seus vins són 7103, Macià Batle i Jaume de Puntiró.

La Festa del Vi Novell que es farà a Barcelona el dia 10 de desembre tindrà com a convidats especials tres cellers mallorquins que també elaboren vi novell. El vi novell és un producte molt típic a Mallorca i la seva arribada va acompanyada de festes i celebracions. Aquesta serà la primera vegada que els dos territoris s’uneixen per donar a conèixer i promoure conjuntament el vi novell, un vi d’arrel tradicional que es vol posar en valor ja que és el primer vi en sortir al mercat després de la verema. Els cellers de Mallorca que participaran a la festa del vi novell català i donaran a tastar els seus vins són 7103, Macià Batle i Jaume de Puntiró.

La festa, que compta amb el suport de l’Institut Català de la Vinya i el Vi (INCAVI), obrirà portes a les 11 del matí i s’allargarà fins a les 8 del vespre. L’entrada als jardins del Palau Robert serà lliure i els tiquets de degustació tindran un cost de 1,5 € el tiquet individual o 10 € el paquet de 8 tiquets. A més de tastar els vins, la festa és una ocasió excel·lent per conèixer de primera mà els cellers elaboradors, que explicaran a tothom qui ho vulgui la història i les especificitats dels seus vins.

Aquest any han estat 13 els cellers catalans, de 7 denominacions d’origen diferents, que han elaborat vi novell. En total, 17 vins entre blancs, rosats i negres dels cellers Carles Andreu, Josep Foraster, Vinícola de Sarral i Vins Petxina, de la DO Conca de Barberà; el Celler de Sanuí, de la DO Costers del Segre; el Celler Cooperatiu d’Espolla, de la DO Empordà; els cellers Masroig i Ronadelles, de la DO Montsant; el Celler Cooperatiu de la Granada, Covides i Maset, de la DO Penedès; el Celler Cooperatiu d’Artés, de la DO Pla de Bages; i Sant Josep Vins, de la DO Terra Alta. En total, suposen un celler més que l’any passat i també una nova denominació d’origen.

La festa, traca final de la gira del novell

La festa del vi novell tancarà la gira que el vi novell ha fet per tot Catalunya durant aquest mes de novembre i inicis de desembre. Durant aquest temps ha recorregut una desena de ciutats catalanes amb l’objectiu de donar a conèixer el vi novell. I ho ha fet amb “The Wine Truck”, un bar de vins en forma de “food truck” on s’han pogut tastar tots els vins.

El vi novell és l’únic vi de temporada, un vi que surt al mercat l’11 de novembre, dia de Sant Martí, i que està pensat per ser consumit de manera immediata, idealment entre novembre i finals d’hivern. La història del novell a Catalunya es remunta a quan a les cases de pagès el vi de l’any anterior no arribava en bones condicions fins a l’hivern següent i s’esperava amb molta il·lusió el vi de la nova anyada. Aquest vi es consumia sense haver reposat, tal com fan la resta de vins, fins i tot els joves, que no surten al mercat fins més endavant.
