Salvador Illa ha despertat una comarca: el Baix Montseny

Segurament el ministre de sanitat espanyol no ha valorat prou la decisió de no permetre que el Baix Montseny canviés de fase de desconfinament. Aquest territori, al voltant d’una de les muntanyes emblemàtiques de Catalunya, el massís del Montseny i el seu parc natural, no quadra amb les actuals demarcacions: té uns municipis dins la província de Barcelona i altres dins la de Girona. En canvi sí que estan ubicats en la mateixa àrea sanitària, l’anomenada Metropolitana Nord, i justament va ser la distribució sanitària la que, en principi, va decidir-se que prevalgués durant la pandèmia.

I el que més sorprèn és que aquesta decisió s’hagi pres sota el mandat “competent” de Salvador Illa, ell que s’ha fet a la política com alcalde de la Roca del Vallès, un municipi que gairebé toca amb el Baix Montseny. Ben segur que molts lectors d’aquest text hi heu passat, sortint de l’autopista del Vallès pel Golf de la Roca o anant a l’espai comercial anomenat La Roca Village. El ministre no pot al·legar desconeixement (ho ha dit el conseller Miquel Buch aquest dilluns a TV3: “Més que el ministre Illa ningú no coneix aquell territori”) i es fa inevitable de pensar que la decisió de no deixar passar aquesta comarca a fase 1 no sigui una rebequeria per “castigar” els seus veïns o, si més no, per no voler donar del tot la raó a les propostes de la Generalitat i demostrar que “aquí mano jo”.

Però la gent dels municipis afectats ha reaccionat i dotze alcaldes implicats, a més de diferents personalitats arrelades al Baix Montseny han elaborat un manifest, que ha començat a rebre adhesions, a favor d’aquesta realitat territorial que estava latent i que el ministre Illa ha despertat.

El Món Rural té dret a protestar davant la classe política quan oblida algunes de les seves realitats i, en un país com Catalunya, les realitats comarcals són de vital importància i, encara més, en moments de crisi com l’actual o davant dels embats d’alguns lobbys de l’àrea metropolitana. Sempre hi ha hagut la temptació de voler ampliar l’àrea metropolitana per convertir-la en un gran espai que faci de contrapoder a la Generalitat i alguns poders fàctics tenen el desig humit que l’àrea metropolitana acabi englobant els dos Vallès, l’Oriental i l’Occidental, una desmesura que ja vam explicar en aquest diari.

Ara és el moment d’aquest clam per constituir la comarca del Baix Montseny. Just fa cinc anys (llei 4/2015 de 23 d’abril) ho va aconseguir el Moianès i per les mateixes dates el Lluçanès s’hi va quedar a les portes després d’una molt ajustada votació. Les realitats político-socials són mutants en el temps i si el gran geògraf Pau Vila no hi va caure en la seva distribució comarcal feta durant la república, actualment, com en el cas del Moianès i del Lluçanès, el Baix Montseny és molt més que una protesta o un manifest: és una realitat i cal reconèixer-li el seu envejable potencial entre els parcs naturals del Montnegre Corredor i del Montseny. Si oblidem aquesta realitat, el Baix Montseny corre el perill d’acabar sent engolit per una gran àrea urbana allunyada de la seva realitat.
