Presenten la rumba catalana per a que sigui declarada Patrimoni Cultural Immaterial de la Humanitat per la UNESCO

Músics, activistes i personalitats del genere busquen la complicitat amb la música del sud de França per a que aquest país sumi també a la candidatura.

La Plataforma per la Rumba Catalana ha presentat aquest dilluns la candidatura perquè la rumba catalana sigui declarada Patrimoni Cultural Immaterial de la Humanitat per la UNESCO. La plataforma és un projecte social que agrupa músics, activistes, i personalitats simbòliques en l’àmbit de la rumba catalana. Així mateix, busca la complicitat amb música del sud de França per a que aquest país sumi també a la candidatura. A l’acte a l’SGAE hi han intervingut Amadeu Valentí, president de la Plataforma Rumba Catalana; Rosita Pubill, vicepresidenta; Ángel Juárez, president de la Fundació Mare i Terra, i Sicus Carbonell, president de l’Associació Professional d’Autors i Creadors de Rumba Catalana (APAC).
