L’oli de la Terra Alta triomfa al Japó. El certamen internacional Olive Japan, dedicat als olis verge extra, ha premiat una de les marques d’aquesta denominació d’origen(DOP) ebrenca. Concretament, la companyia reconeguda és Az-Azeytyn XCIII SL, d’Abel Maijó, viticultor i oleïcultor de Batea. Dels productes de l’agricultor, la medalla d’Olive Japan ha reconegut la varietat d’empeltre, la tradicional a la comarca.

L’Olive Japan és una de les principals competicions d’oli d’oliva mundials i exigeix “els més alts estàndards d’integritat i professionalitat” per escollir els millors olis del món. La DOP Terra Alta ha celebrat el premi i considera que “donarà impuls i força” al sector per seguir elaborant i promocionant aquest tipus d’oli tan singular que es produeix a la comarca amb l’oliva empeltre.
