Èxit de la 25a Fira de l’Oli Verd de Maials

El certamen, que s'ha celebrat entre dissabte i diumenge, registra una de les seves millors xifres, amb uns 16.000 litres d’oli venuts i 12.000 visitants

La Fira de l’Oli Verd de Maials (Segrià) ha tancat portes aquest diumenge després de rebre la visita de 12.000 persones al llarg del cap de setmana i d’haver venut 16.000 litres d’oli. Es tracta d’una de les millors xifres que ha registrat mai el certamen en els seus 25 anys d’història, ha explicat l’alcalde de Maials, David Masot, que ha atribuït aquestes bones dades al fet que la ciutadania cada vegada pensa més en l’oli com “un producte essencial en la dieta mediterrània i en una bona alimentació”, i també per la fidelització dels visitants i expositors. Sobre la venda d’oli, ha assegurat que es pot encarar la campanya amb optimisme, perquè “aquest cap de setmana de fira significa només el començament”.

Sobre el volum de vendes d’oli, el president de la Cooperativa de Maials, Francesc Teixidó ha remarcat que ha estat molt positiu i l’ha situat en uns 16.000 litres. “Intuíem que la gent tenia ganes de fira després de dos anys de restriccions i que hi hauria una bona acceptació, ens hem quedat una mica sorpresos”, ha expressat.

Un dels actes destacats d’aquest diumenge ha estat la tradicional investidura de l’Amic de l’Oli 2022, que en aquesta ocasió, i en motiu dels 25 anys de la fira, ha variat el seu format i ha recaigut en tots aquells que fa un quart de segle van posar en marxa el certamen des de l’Ajuntament i la Cooperativa l’any 1998, de manera que regidors i membres de la junta de la Cooperativa –encapçalats pel que era l’alcalde Francesc Vilasetrú i pel president de la Cooperativa, Joan Segura– han rebut una placa en record i reconeixement.

A banda, durant al darrera jornada els visitants han pogut gaudir del tradicional esmorzar popular amb oli d’oliva verge extra nou a la Cooperativa del Camp Foment Maialenc, de la jornada de portes obertes a l’escola Otogesa de Maials, amb motiu del seu 70è aniversari, de visites guiades a la Vilaclosa, tallers, jornades tècniques, visites al museu de Cal Cabalesila, d’una jornada de portes obertes a la Cooperativa, d’una exposició de joguines a càrrec de Mercè Prats (Museu de nines), d’una exposició de manualitats del Centre de Serveis, de tallers infantils, d’elaboracions amb arenes de colors i d’un taller de terrisseria, entre altres actes.
