Enllesteixen el projecte museogràfic del centre d’interpretació del jaciment del Barranc de la Boella

El projecte museogràfic del futur centre d’interpretació del jaciment del Barranc de la Boella, a la Canonja (Tarragonès), ja està enllestit. Segons informa l’Institut Català de Paleoecologia Humana i Evolució Social (IPHES), a través de les troballes arqueològiques i dels estudis científics que han propiciat el projecte de recerca al jaciment es viatjarà a un milió d’anys enrere per conèixer i experimentar qui i com es vivia en aquest període prehistòric, alhora que s’efectuarà un recorregut per l’evolució humana. A més, s’exposaran fòssils originals, com les defenses de mamut localitzades al jaciment. El centre s’ubicarà al Mas de l’Hort de l’Abeurador, en procés de reforma, i s’adreçarà principalment al públic familiar i escolar.

El projecte inclourà recursos museogràfics didàctics i interactius adaptats als diferents públics, que combinen la utilització de les tecnologies de la informació i de la comunicació amb recreacions, audiovisuals, exhibició de fòssils originals, rèpliques per poder manipular, així com sons i olors que s’aniran trobant en un itinerari que s’iniciarà a l’interior de l’edifici i que continuarà a l’exterior, en la finca annexa, on s’organitzaran tallers o propostes experimentals.

 

Actualment, l’Ajuntament de la Canonja està acabant les reformes del Mas de l’Hort de l’Abeurador, un procés que culminarà amb l’execució del projecte museogràfic que ara s’ha finalitzat. L’objectiu és posar en valor el jaciment del Barranc de la Boella i, alhora, generar un nou pol d’atracció de turisme cultural a les comarques del Camp de Tarragona i de les Terres de l’Ebre.

 

L’elaboració del projecte museogràfic executiu del jaciment del Barranc de la Boella està encapçalat per l’IPHES, com a soci del Projecte d’Especialització i Competitivitat Territorial (PECT) “TurisTIC en família”, liderat per la Diputació de Tarragona, i compta amb la participació de l’Ajuntament de la Canonja.
