El Mercat Medieval de Vic ha rebut 300.000 visitants durant aquest pont

A banda de tornar al barri vell de Vic, l'edició d'aquest 2022 també ha presentat novetats, com la zona infantil per a famílies i la reunió de totes les tavernes en un mateix espai.

Prop de 300.000 persones han passat pel Mercat Medieval de Vic, que s’ha celebrat entre dijous i aquest diumenge a la capital d’Osona. La regidora de Promoció Econòmica, Comerç i Cultura, Bet Piella, n’ha fet una valoració “molt bona”. Ha celebrat que l’esdeveniment ha recuperat “el decorat natural, que són els carrers medievals de Vic”, i ha explicat que els paradistes –380 enguany– han fet “molt bona venda”. Segons Piella, l’impacte del Mercat Medieval a Vic és d’uns cinc milions d’euros, però va més enllà dels dies de fira perquè “molts visitants descobreixen Vic i ben segur que es converteixen en futurs turistes de la ciutat”, ha dit.

L’Ajuntament ha calculat que el 60% d’assistents al Mercat Medieval prové de la província de Barcelona i que el 35% és públic nou, un perfil que interessa especialment al consistori: “Volem que es vagi renovant el visitant que ve a descobrir Vic durant el medieval”. A més, les dates de l’edició d’enguany s’han decidit perquè coincidissin amb l’elecció dels festius dels centres educatius de l’àrea metropolitana de Barcelona, per tal d’atraure més visitants. Així, la fira s’ha desenvolupat durant la part final de la setmana, mentre que de l’1 al 4 de desembre s’han organitzat una sèrie d’activitats culturals sense parades per descobrir el patrimoni medieval de la ciutat, pensant sobretot en els osonencs.

A banda de tornar al barri vell de Vic, l’edició d’aquest 2022 també ha presentat novetats, com la zona infantil per a famílies “que ha funcionat moltíssim”, segons Piella, i la reunió de totes les tavernes en un mateix espai en comptes de tenir-les repartides per diferents carrers de la ciutat. “Era una petició que ja venia de l’any passat i realment ha funcionat molt”, ha valorat la regidora. Piella, a més, ha celebrat que les tavernes “han fet calaix” i tenen diners “per fer totes les activitats de l’any”.

El Mercat Medieval de Vic és la fira més multitudinària de la ciutat i els 300.000 visitants d’aquesta edició són equiparables als de l’any passat, tot i que la pluja ha obligat a suspendre algunes de les activitats a l’aire lliure. S’hi han aplegat artesans, taverners i firaires provinents sobretot de Catalunya, però també d’altres punts de l’estat espanyol, de França i de Portugal amb tota classe de productes, ja estiguin relacionats amb l’alimentació, les herbes, l’artesania, amb la decoració, la joieria, la cosmètica natural, la roba o amb els productes gastronòmics, com embotits i conserves.
