La Conca tindrà un centre d’interpretació cultural

El Consell Comarcal de la Conca de Barberà impulsarà el Centre d’Interpretació del Patrimoni Cultural de la Conca de Barberà gràcies a una subvenció del fons europeu FEDER. L’equipament se situarà en un edifici annex a la seu de l’ens, conegut com a Cal Masip, a Montblanc, que en el futur també podria rebre dependències del Consell. S’hi preveu una inversió de 2.353.000 euros, dels quals 1.176.000 arribaran procedents d’aquest ajut, la resta s’espera que els puguin aconseguir amb aportacions d’altres administracions. El projecte hauria d’estar acabat com a màxim a finals del 2023.

El president del Consell Comarcal de la Conca de Barberà, Francesc Benet, ha detallat que el nou Centre d’Interpretació del Patrimoni Cultural de la Conca de Barberà estarà distribuït en cinc espais: la llegenda de Sant Jordi i el Montblanc medieval, les meravelles de la Conca, les catedrals del vi i el trepat, la Ruta del Cister i espais naturals i paisatge. D’altra banda, Benet s’ha mostrat molt satisfet perquè “poques vegades el fons FEDER dóna el 100% de l’import que demanes”, com ha estat aquest cas.

Cal Masip compta amb una superfície de 1.000 metres quadrats i es troba just al costat del Palau Alenyà, actual seu de l’ens comarcal. L’immoble va estar en venda durant molts anys, però el 2003 quedà abandonat. L’Ajuntament de Montblanc el va comprar i el va cedir al Consell Comarcal per dur-hi a terme un projecte d’aquestes característiques, que estava aturat per falta de finançament.

El projecte que el Consell Comarcal havia presentat a la convocatòria FEDER agrupava quatre actuacions de tipus turístic i cultural sota la denominació “Preservació, difusió i desenvolupament del patrimoni natural i cultural de la Conca de Barberà”. A més de les obres a Cal Masip, amb els diners del fons FEDER també se senyalitzaran rutes a peu i BTT del GR-175, i es milloraran els accessos a l’ermita dels Sants Metges de Sarral i la senyalització d’elements del patrimoni arquitectònic de la comarca.
