Bombers del parc de Tremp comencen pràctiques de salvament aquàtic al canal de Gavet al considerar-lo un punt de risc

El canal de Gavet, al Pallars Jussà, és una zona de risc pel que fa a possibles accidents. Per això ha estat el lloc escollit pels bombers de Tremp per realitzar les pràctiques aquàtiques. De forma prèvia s’ha fet un reconeixement del canal per tenir en compte tots els punts perillosos i poder actuar amb celeritat i diligencia en cas d’un accident. Aquests divendres els bombers han practicat les diferents maniobres que haurien de fer en cas d’haver de salvar una persona o animal caigut dins el canal. Ignasi Doll, sergent de suport d’operacions Lleida Nord dels Bombers, ha ressaltat el fet que el programa en el qual estan treballant, permet conèixer tots els elements del canal ja des del vehicle i poder anticipar-se així a una actuació.

Doll ha explicat que introduir el canal de Gavet a aquesta aplicació és important per poder actuar amb rapidesa als rescats. En aquest sentit, ha destacat la importància de conèixer de primera mà la velocitat de l’aigua, els punts negres, els indrets d’evacuació, i els contactes directes amb els responsables de la companyia per pode agilitzar els rescats.

Àlex Espinosa, cap Unitat Territorial de la Regió d’Emergències de Lleida, ha destacat la importància de conèixer bé el material i fer pràctiques de manera habitual. Els bombers reben formació en salvament aquàtic en canals, rius o pantans, però també són importants les pràctiques, ha remarcat Espinosa.
