Banyoles amplia l’espai de vianants i bicicletes al front d’Estany

L’Ajuntament de Banyoles engega, aquest cap de setmana, una prova pilot que permetrà ampliar l’espai per a vianants i bicicletes al front d’Estany. Així, es restringirà la circulació de vehicles amb l’objectiu d’evitar aglomeracions, especialment els caps de setmana, que és quan hi ha més concentració de persones. La mesura s’aplicarà des de les 8 del matí del dissabte fins a la mitjanit de diumenge. Afectarà al tram del passeig Lluís Marià Vidal, des del carrer Prior Agustí fins al passeig Mossèn Lluís Constans; i el tram del passeig Darder, entre el mateix passeig Mossèn Lluís Constans fins al carrer Pintor Winthuysen. Només hi podran accedir bicicletes i vianants i, en cotxe, els veïns.
De moment, la mesura serà provisional i, en funció de la resposta, expliquen des de l’Ajuntament, es podria perllongar tot l’estiu.

En paral·lel, el consistori, amb la voluntat de facilitar la mobilitat en bicicleta, ha anunciat que els caps de setmana de l’11 i 12 de juliol i el del 18 i 19, s’habilitarà un carril per a bicicletes bidireccional al passeig de la Indústria. El vial enllaçarà el Barri Vell i el passeig Mossèn Lluís Constans.

Les dues mesures parteixen d’una proposta de la Taula de Mobilitat, de la que formen part els diferents grups municipals, i que té com a objectiu fer de Banyoles una ciutat més sostenible i segura.
