Activitats de lleure per trencar el cercle de la pobresa. La Fundació Pere Tarrés ha presentat un estudi que demostra que els infants que participen en aquest tipus d’oci tenen millors competències educatives i professionals, millorant el respecte i l’aprenentatge de les normes socials i l’educació cívica i social. A més a més, també influeixen en la capacitat d’assumir responsabilitat i lideratge.

Segons els responsables de l’estudi, guanyar aquestes habilitats possibilita acabar amb la vulnerabilitat social i a les seves famílies tindrà costos sanitaris, educatius i socials en un futur. Arran d’això, remarquen la importància dels casals d’estiu i les colònies, ja que esdevé una oportunitat per fer noves coneixences, divertir-se amb activitats de lleure i estar en contacte amb la natura.

Segons destaca Josep Oriol Pujol, director general de la Fundació Pere Tarrés, el lleure és ”un accelerador de competències” que ajuda a l’infant en el seu aprenentatge a l’escola i en el seu creixement com a persona. Per Pujol, un infant de 12 anys amb oportunitats acumula 6.000 hores més d’aprenentatge que un que no en té.
