Acció Climàtica aprova una categoria del Distintiu de garantia de qualitat ambiental per a Centres d’activitats marítimes

El Departament d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural ha aprovat la nova categoria per a Centres d’activitats marítimes, dins del sistema d’etiquetatge ecològic català. A partir d’ara les acadèmies nàutiques, els centres d’immersió i els centres nàutics de Catalunya podran sol·licitar el Distintiu de garantia de qualitat ambiental per a la categoria de Centres d’activitats marítimes. El distintiu busca minimitzar l’impacte de les activitats marítimes d’esbarjo sobre els ecosistemes naturals i el foment del respecte i la sensibilitat ecològica de les persones en les seves relacions amb els ecosistemes marins.

Sensibilització i conservació

Els criteris de qualitat ambiental per als centres d’activitats marítimes s’han establert, amb la col·laboració d’un grup de treball integrat per representants del sector, perquè es compleixin els principis de l’economia circular, posant un èmfasi especial en la conservació del medi i la sensibilització dels usuaris envers l’entorn. Altres criteris estan relacionats amb l’òptima gestió dels residus, el foment de la mobilitat sostenible, la compra i ús de productes i materials més respectuosos amb el medi ambient, l’estalvi i l’eficiència energètica, l’estalvi d’aigua, entre d’altres.

 

L’equip tècnic de la Direcció General de Qualitat Ambiental i Canvi Climàtic ha treballat conjuntament amb la Direcció General de Política Marítima i Pesca Sostenible, ambdós del Departament d’Acció Climàtica Alimentació i Agenda Rural. S’ha comptat a més, amb el suport de diferents organitzacions referents del sector com l’Associació Catalana d’Escoles Nàutiques, l’Associació Catalana de Centres d’Immersió i Activitats Marines, la Federació Catalana de Vela, l’Associació Catalana d’Activitats Marítimes, i la consultoria especialitzada en gestió ambiental Ecogesa, entre d’altres.

 

31 categories vigents

El Distintiu de garantia de qualitat ambiental està en funcionament des de 1994. Inicialment certificava  la qualitat ambiental de determinades propietats o característiques dels productes però, a partir de 1998, es va ampliar el seu àmbit als serveis. D’aquesta manera, atorga, d’una banda, una informació millor i més fiable a les persones consumidores i usuàries i, d’altra banda, promociona el disseny, la producció, la comercialització, l’ús i el consum de productes i de serveis que establerts com a obligatoris per la normativa vigent.

 

Amb aquesta nova categoria de serveis aprovada, el Distintiu de garantia de qualitat ambiental disposa actualment de 31 categories de productes i serveis. El nombre d’organitzacions certificades és de 265, i 911 productes certificats.
