Presenten l’exposició “Toquem fusta! Disseny, fusta i sostenibilitat” amb la fusta com a protagonista

El Museu del Disseny presenta l’exposició ‘Toquem fusta! Disseny, fusta i sostenibilitat’ del 9 de novembre fins al 22 de gener del 2023. La mostra de Martí Boada i la directora del museu, Pilar Vélez, observa un material “clau” en l’evolució cultural humana des de l’òptica del disseny. Posa la mirada en el valor dels arbres i del bosc i presenta una visió històrica des de les creacions del Paleolític fins a l’actualitat. Objectes, artefactes o dissenys que han significat un punt d’inflexió tenen cabuda en el recull de 420 peces, des de les llances de Schöningen – l’artefacte de fusta més antic de la humanitat– fins a un prototip actual d’una casa fabricada amb fusta, suro i palla que respon a les exigències i reptes mediambientals d’avui.

L’exposició “Toquem fusta! Disseny, fusta i sostenibilitat” reivindica, doncs, la fusta i el seu ús en el disseny per a un futur més sostenible. Partint del valor dels arbres i del bosc com a model inspirador de bioeconomia circular, proposa un futur lligat a la fusta, la sostenibilitat i la bioeconomia.

 

De fet, la mostra s’emmarca dins de la línia de recerca del Museu del Disseny sobre disseny socialment responsable i sostenible i forma part del programa de la conferència anual de l’European Forest Institute que ha designat Barcelona Ciutat Europea del Bosc 2022

L’arbre, “el disseny més antic del món”

L’exposició vol reivindicar el rol essencial de la fusta al llarg dels temps, com a matèria que ha servit per a tota mena de creacions humanes, i per això presenta una àmplia visió històrica entorn d’aquesta matèria fixant l’atenció en les creacions en fusta des del Paleolític fins a l’actualitat.

 

En conjunt s’hi reuneixen 420 peces que inclouen des de les llances de Schöningen – l’artefacte de fusta més antic de la humanitat localitzat fins ara de fa uns 300.000 anys– o els cullerots de l’època neolítica, fins al clavicèmbal de Christian Zell, dissenys de mobles de fusta corbada al vapor i aplicacions actuals de la fusta en els terrenys de l’aeronàutica, els automòbils, la salut, l’energia, l’acústica i la construcció. En aquest darrer camp destaca un prototip actual d’una casa a mida real fabricada amb fusta, suro i palla (Habitatge MHM) que respon a les exigències i reptes per fer front a la crisi mediambiental.

 

A través d’aquestes peces es mostra com, des dels orígens, la humanitat ha cercat en la natura la font de les seves creacions útils, elaborant objectes per satisfer les necessitats bàsiques i dominar l’entorn natural. En aquest sentit, la gran protagonista de l’exposició és la fusta, però també l’arbre, present al planeta Terra des de fa 370 milions d’anys i considerat com “el disseny més antic del món” i model inspirador de la bioeconomia circular.
