La collita d’oli d’oliva de Juncosa arribarà al 70% de la mitjana anual tot i la sequera

La Cooperativa Agrícola Sant Isidre de Juncosa (Garrigues) preveu una collita d’oli d’oliva del 70% de la mitjana anual. És una xifra que valoren positivament en el context actual de sequera i que segons la directora general de l’entitat, Àngels Araque, difícilment s’hi hauria arribat si no fos perquè moltes de les finques compten amb reg de suport. D’aquesta manera, es preveuen fer entre 400.000 i 500.000 quilos d’oli que ja s’han començat a envasar i comercialitzar a través de la collita primerenca ‘Tast of earth’, un oli d’oliva verge extra ‘Premium’ que s’ha presentat aquest dijous a Lleida. L’any que ve preveuen construir una nova planta envasadora amb una inversió de 300.000 euros després d’obrir mercat a França, Austràlia i Taiwan.

La Cooperativa Les Cabanes de Juncosa de les Garrigues compta amb 140 socis i presumeix del fet que al poble, que no arriba als 400 habitants, s’ha aconseguit garantir el relleu generacional del sector agrícola i ramader. Enguany estan patint les conseqüències d’una campanya difícil per la sequera, però també per l’encariment dels costos de producció. Tot i així, Àngels Araque destaca que intentaran no traspassar tota aquesta pujada de preus al cost final del producte ja que sinó s’acabaria convertint en un “luxe que no es podria consumir”.

La Cooperativa està immersa actualment en el projecte de construcció d’una nova planta envasadora pressupostada amb uns 300.000 euros. L’objectiu és començar els treballs i acabar-los durant l’any que ve per donar resposta a les exigències de mercat internacional que es basen molt en la certificació de qualitat en l’envasat de l’oli d’oliva verge extra. Aquest estiu, l’oli de Juncosa ha arribat a França i Austràlia i en breu la primera comanda ho farà a Taiwan.

 

La collita primerenca de la gamma ‘premium’ de Les Cabanes, ‘Tast of Earth’, s’ha presentat aquest dijous a Lleida en el marc d’un maridatge al restaurant L’Espurna. La Cooperativa ha aprofitat la presentació des destacar l’elevat nombre de premis i reconeixements que han rebut en tant sols tres anys arreu de món. Són 28 premis atorgats a concursos celebrats a Nova York, Londres, la Xina i París, entre d’altres. L’oli està situat al ‘Top 10’ dels millors olis d’oliva verges extra del món.
