Damià Deàs deixa el càrrec de president de l’AECAVA

El president de l’Associació d’Elaboradors del Cava (AECAVA), Damià Deàs, ha posat el seu càrrec a disposició de la Junta Directiva. Deàs, gerent de Vilarnau, assegura que renuncia per afavorir la renovació al capdavant de la patronal coincidint amb la nova legislatura al Consell Regulador de la DO Cava. “Comença una etapa”, explica, i afegeix que “cal que tots els esforços que està fent el sector per desplegar el Pla Estratègic siguin reforçats amb una bona comunicació de tots els agents”. Deàs deixa el càrrec després de quasi cinc anys. El maig del 2018 va agafar el relleu de Jaume Gramona com a president de l’aleshores Institut del Cava, que el febrer del 2020 es va fusionar amb la patronal dels petits cellers, PIMECAVA.

Deàs recalca que la renuncia “no té cap motiu personal ni professional al darrere, senzillament cal deixar entrar aire fresc”. La patronal inicia ara el procés per escollir el nou president. Després que Deàs hagi comunicat a la Junta Directiva la seva renúncia, l’ens es reunirà de nou el 2 de novembre per designar qui encapçala l’associació.
