Segons les primeres estimacions, 1.175 hectàrees han estat afectades per les diferents pedregades

La tempesta d’aigua barrejada amb pedra que va caure divendres a la tarda el Segrià i les Garrigues ha afectat unes 1.175 hectàrees de cultius en aquestes comarques, segons les primeres estimacions del Departament d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Acció Rural. La tempesta va descarregar amb molta virulència sobre Aspa i Alfés, tot i que també hi ha afectacions considerables a Castelldans i l’Albagés, mentre que en els municipis de Granyena de les Garrigues, Soleràs, el Cogul, Artesa de Lleida, Lleida i Alcanó l’afectació és menor. Tot i que la pedra va caure barrejada amb molta aigua, va causar danys en fruita dolça, ametller, olivera i gira-sol, tant per la intensitat de la pedregada com pels forts vents associats a la tempesta.

La tempesta va afectar cap a les set de la tarda poblacions de les la comarca de les Garrigues i, després, es va desplaçar cap al Segrià. A les Garrigues les finques afectades són d’olivera i ametller. Moltes ja s’havien vist afectades per les gelades de l’abril de manera que el poc fruit que quedava a l’arbre ha acabat de caure a terra. Els danys són variables i, segons Acció Climàtica, cal esperar les valoracions finals segons la situació de la plantació, l’edat, l’orientació i la varietat. Puntualment, hi ha finques amb afectacions considerables, sobretot les zones de secà dels municipis de Castelldans i l’Albagés, on més del 70% de la producció que quedava a l’arbre ha caigut a terra. En la resta de municipis afectats els danys han estat d’entre el 20 i el 30%, ja que hi va caure més aigua.

Préssecs tocats per la pedra en una finca d’Alfés

Pel que fa al Segrià en fruita dolça, les zones més afectades van ser les plantacions de perer, presseguer i nectarina que encara estaven pendents de collir i no estaven protegides per xarxes principalment al municipi d’Alfés, on els danys oscil·len entre el 40 i el 60% de la producció.

 

En ametller i olivera es van produir fortes caigudes de fruits, principalment al municipi d’Aspa, on els danys se situen entre el 80 i el 90% a les finques més afectades d’ametller, i de fins al 70-80% en olivera. A la resta de municipis afectats del Segrià, els danys han estat menors. A la població d’Alfés també van resultar afectades finques de gira-sol.
