Catalunya participarà al Napa Valley Festival de California per a promocionar l’enoturisme català

Una delegació catalana encapçalada per la directora general de Turisme del Departament d’Empresa i Treball, Marta Domènech, participarà a partir d’avui divendres al Napa Valley Festival de Califòrnia amb l’objectiu de promocionar el turisme enogastronòmic. Es tracta d’un dels certàmens de referència de música, opera i dansa que se celebra en la coneguda zona vitícola nord-americana i per primer cop comptarà amb un espai expositiu sobre l’oferta turística catalana. Domènech ha defensat que el mercat nord-americà “interessa” perquè té una despesa “molt per sobre” de la mitjana i els seus viatgers “no es concentren en uns mesos determinats”. De fet, un 14% dels turistes que visiten Catalunya per veure els vins i cellers són nord-americans.

Tot plegat s’emmarca en l’estratègia que ha impulsat el Departament d’Empresa i Treball per convertir Catalunya en la “gran referència europea” en turisme enogastronòmic. Per tal que els assistents puguin conèixer vins i caves catalans també hi haurà tastos a càrrec d’un sommelier. La delegació catalana també visitarà empreses catalanes amb cellers en aquesta zona, com ara Marimar Estate o Alpha Omega.
