La Unió Europea ajudarà els pagesos d’Ucraïna per a que segueixin exportant tot i la guerra

El Consell de l’Agricultura i la Pesca de la Unió Europea ha acordat ajudar els pagesos ucraïnesos perquè segueixin exportant malgrat la guerra. Una de les mesures pactades és fer-los arribar combustibles, i en aquest sentit el comissari d’Agricultura, Janusz Wojciechowski, ha indicat que s’ha posat en contacte amb el govern polonès perquè “el més adequat logísticament” és entregar-los a través de Polònia. Wojciechowski també ha subratllat que els productes ucraïnesos són “importants per a la seguretat alimentària europea”, i ha destacat el “coratge” dels pagesos ucraïnesos que han mostrat la voluntat de seguir treballant tot i els atacs russos.

D’altra banda, també s’ha explicat que, a petició d’Espanya, els ministres d’Agricultura dels 28 han acordat per majoria tirar endavant “mesures fermes” per donar suport als pescadors, afectats per l’encariment del preu del gasoil a conseqüència, entre d’altres, de la guerra a Ucraïna.

 

En paral·lel, el comissari ha informat de l’avenç dels plans estratègics que s’han d’aprovar abans del juny i que han de reformar la Política Agrària Comuna (PAC). Tots els països han entregat els seus plans i el comissari ha explicat que “van per bon camí”, per bé que encara no n’hi ha cap a punt per aprovar.

 

Wojciechowski no ha volgut avançar detalls dels plans, però sí ha afirmat que, entre d’altres, el terrenys destinat a l’agricultura ecològica creixerà del 8% actual a un 18% amb l’horitzó posat a finals del 2027. “És un progrés real. Potser no suficient, però real”, ha indicat el comissari.
